 Rip Curl Grom Search 2009The search is on for shredtastic groms under 16. Kiddies can compete in a maximum of 2 divisions at $35 a piece. Winners from each regional competition will move on to the Finals at Salt Creek in the Fall. The winner of the Grom Search Finals in Salt Creek will then receive an all-expense paid trip to the Rip Curl Pro Surf and Music Festival at Bells Beach the following April to compete in the Grom Search International Finals.
Australia hosted the first Grom Search in '99, since then this competition has pushed the progression of young surfers and has had big name tykes such as Owen Wright, Sally Fitzgibbons, Ben Dunn and Alana Blanchard.
