For a mere $3.99, you can have access to the ultimate skateboard directory called iSkateboard. Created by a network of skateboarders from across the world, you can locate nearly 30,000 skate spots, skateparks and skate shops. Hundreds of new listings are added practically daily so you’ll never miss a beat. iSkateboard also features a RSS feed that highlights major skate media, and you can contribute your own community skate spots and shops. For $4.99 you can have Touchgrind, which is the first real multi-touch skateboard game. It may take some time to master, but with this App you’re able to pull off tricks like ollies, kickflips, 50-50s, smithgrinds and heelflips in varying combos with innovative finger controls. Snowboarding types will appreciate the snow reports available from a variety of hosts. Many of them are free. I downloaded Ski & Snow Report by www.skireport.com/iphone. It’s not totally comprehensive, but it does what I need it to do. It finds my current location and selects nearby mountains and resorts then reports basic stats like base snow and new snow. It also lists powder points if you’re looking to make a last-minute getaway. Shred sans your stick when you download the Crazy Snowboard App for $2.99. The new updated version allows for better responsive turning, higher jumps, new camera angles, and you can even play your iPod playlist in the background.
